Publishing research in well-known scientific journals is one of the most prominent ways that researchers build their reputation within their community and allow the wide dissemination and access to their work. During this presentation we will be going through the basic structure of a research article, introducing best practice tips and tricks when writing a paper, highlighting the editorial and peer-review process, and discussing about the main ethical issues that authors, reviewers, editors and publishers face on a day-to-day basis. The aim of this Author workshop is to advise, provide tips to authors to improve the quality of their manuscripts and therefore increase the chances of their papers to accepted for publication in reputable, international, ISI listed journals.
