Proteins evolve under selective forces induced by their biophysical properties. Therefore, investigating protein evolution gives useful insights on protein biophysics, and simple models of folding stability and protein dynamics improve the inference of evolutionary processes. I shall present some results along these directions, based on a simple model of protein folding stability against unfolding and misfolding and on the analytically solvable torsional network model of protein dynamics.
