2017 - 2018

Organizadores: José Miguel Mancheño y Esther Rebollar

El 24 de enero tendremos un seminario impartido por Fernando Martín, del Departamento de Química de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

The advent of attosecond laser pulses has opened new avenues for imaging and controlling electronic and nuclear motions in molecules, with exciting potential applications in physics, chemistry and, as suggested very recently, biology. Processes such as ionization damage, ultrafast charge migration, electron and proton transfer, or isomerization in molecules and biomolecules can now be monitored in their natural time scale. Such progress would not have been possible without the help of theoretical modeling. In this talk, the history of this joint venture and its future implications will be discussed.
