On the ocassion of "La Semana de la Ciencia 2023", on friday 17th November, our colleague Luis Cerdán, recently returned to IQF, attended the space "Eureka" in the show "Las tardes de RNE", conducted by Lourdes Maldonado at Radio Nacional de España, to assist in the realization of some experiments in collaboration with Nuria Fonseca-Bonilla, researcher at Centro de Astrobiología (CSIC-INTA), and instructor of the Workshops in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the Asociación Española de Superdotados y con Talento (AEST). In particular, they showed how to form a fractal onto a surface of cream, demonstrated how to identify the acidity level using natural pH indicators, and explained a DIY chromatographic experiment to unveil the compounds that give leaves their colors.
